MarginEdge holds your invoice photos and the food-cost engine that lives on top of them. The migration is more involved than the OCR-only tools because their export path is gated.
1. Export from your old tool
Open a support ticket with MarginEdge asking for a 90-day export of original invoice PDFs (not their normalised data). Their team usually responds in 3-5 business days.
2. Drop the files on the Ledger
When the ZIP arrives, unzip locally and upload each PDF to Muntin Ledger's /inbox.
3. Confirm the rows
Confirm the vendor + total + line items. After three confirms per vendor, future bills from that vendor are one-click.
Things to know
- ·MarginEdge's food-cost reports do not transfer. Muntin reads the invoice; food-cost analysis lives elsewhere.
- ·If your contract has an early-termination clause, check before requesting the export.
