Muntin Ledger
What an invoice costs us to read, and what we charge.
We promised to lead with mechanism. The unit economics are mechanism. If the math works for you, sign up. If it does not, you should not pay us.

Per invoice, our cost
| Line item | Provider | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| docling extraction (1–4 pages) | Fly.io ephemeral Machine | ~$0.018 |
| Matching the invoice to your vendor template | Fly.io shared CPU | ~$0.002 |
| R2 storage (24h retention) | Cloudflare R2 | < $0.001 |
| Securing your data per invoice | AWS KMS | ~$0.0003 |
| Saving the record and the audit trail | Cloudflare D1 + Neon | ~$0.001 |
| Reading and writing your data | Cloudflare Workers | ~$0.0005 |
| Roughly per invoice | — | ~$0.022 |
Numbers are best estimates from billing dashboards on a 100-invoice sample. They are not exact, they will drift, and we will republish them when the drift exceeds 20%. Treat this as honest math, not an SLA.
Plus the parts that do not scale per invoice
- Fly.io reserved capacity for the docling pool: ~$120/mo, spread across all customers.
- Neon Postgres: ~$80/mo, scales with row count.
- Sentry self-hosted on Fly.io: ~$30/mo.
- Resend transactional email: free tier covers private beta.
- Domain + cert: ~$20/year. Cloudflare absorbs the rest.
What we will charge
Muntin Ledger is in early access. Pricing lands at launch, and we will keep it plain — no introductory rate, no asterisk. Founding members who join the waitlist now lock in founder pricing when billing turns on.

What we will not do
- Sell aggregated insights about your spending to anyone. Not as a feature, not in beta, not in the future. See /promises for the mechanism that prevents it.
- Charge a fee per export. Your records are yours; the CSV button is free at every tier.
- Bundle features you did not ask for to pad a tier. If we add a feature you wanted, it ships at your tier.
If the math here is wrong, tell us. Email hello@muntin.digital with what you think it should be and why.
